It is mainly used in automotive technology for precise fastening and elsewhere. where the manufacturer specified the required tightening torque for the connector.

• Select the appropriate Nm or in-lbs scale. Unlock the micrometer knob.
• Set the micrometer dial as follows. so that "0" on the knob scale coincides with the vertical line on the key arm.
• Turn the micrometer knob clockwise. until the desired torque is set.
• The desired torque is set at moment. when the scale on the micrometer knob coincides with the vertical line on the key arm.
• Then lock the micrometer knob and set the appropriate direction of ratchet rotation. after that the key is ready for use.
• Place the appropriate cap on the key driver. When tightening, the set torque is reached when the key clicks. If you hear or feel a click, stop tightening.
