- non-contact tester from Testboy for checking the presence of voltage in sockets. wires. switches. frames etc.
- also useful when looking for live wires embedded in cable trays. tubes. under wainscoting, etc. (gives approximate location. sensitivity depends on the type of material)
-detection of voltage causes the diode hidden in the white part of the body to light up and generates a vibrating signal
-finds wires with voltage from 12 to 1000 V AC (sensitivity increases after turning on the LED flashlight)
