The step-down converter in the BabyBuck version is equipped with the AP63357 voltage regulator by Diodes Inc. Using it, you can convert the input voltage in the range from 6 V to 32 V to the output voltage of 5 V, with a current efficiency of 3 A. The module has a fully integrated 74 mOhm MOSFET on the high side and a 40 mOhm MOSFET on the low side, providing highly efficient DC-DC conversion. At the back of the module, the manufacturer placed a copper washer that dissipates excess heat generated by the plate during operation.
