A real-time clock (RTC) module manufactured by Adafruit and featuring the PCF8523 chip. It is also a calendar optimized for low power consumption. Data is transmitted serially over the I2C bus with a maximum baud rate of up to 1000 kbit/s. The RTC PCF8523 real-time clock module is also equipped with a battery socket. Thanks to the battery, the power supply is maintained even if the main power supply to the device is interrupted.
