The latest version of the popular minicomputer Raspberry Pi 4 B. This model is distinguished by a more efficient Broadcom BCM2711 quad-core 64-bit ARM-8 Cortex-A72 1.8 GHz processor, two microHDMI connectors, two USB 3.0 connectors and 2 USB. 2.0 connectors and a USB C power connector. In addition, the board has dual-band WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5 / BLE, an Ethernet port up to 1000 Mb/s and the ability to power via PoE. The rest of the specs are the same as the Model 3 B+, ie 40 GPIOs, microSD card connectors, DSI and CSI connectors, and four mounting holes.
What's new in Raspberry Pi 4?
- 3 versions of the minicomputer: Raspberry Pi 4 is sold in three versions, which differ in the amount of RAM:

- BCM2711 Processor: The Broadcom BCM2711 chipset with a 64-bit quad-core ARM-8 Cortex-A72 processor clocked at 1.8GHz provides more computing power than previous Raspberry Pi models.
- 2 microHDMI monitor ports: The Raspberry Pi 4 comes with two microHDMI ports that allow you to connect two HDMI monitors up to 4K resolution simultaneously. (4K and 60fps for one monitor and 4K and 30fps for two monitors).
- 2 USB 3.0 ports: The mini computer has 4 USB ports. Two 2.0 versions and two efficient USB 3.0 connections.
- Ethernet speed up to 1000 Mbit/s: Ethernet connection in the full Gigabit version ensures faster Internet via cable.
- USB C power connector: The power connector is adapted to the latest standards. The Raspberry has a USB C connector. The manufacturer recommends a 5 V / 3 A power supply.
- Bluetooth 5.0: A new wireless standard that offers transfer speeds of up to 2 Mbps.
- Connector Layout: The outline of the board remains the same, but the connector layout has changed.
Video and sound on the Raspberry Pi 4 minicomputer
The Raspberry Pi has two microHDMI connectors, through which you can send both video and audio in resolutions up to 4K. In addition, the board has a 4-pin 3.5 mm socket, to which you can connect headphones, speakers or output video via the RCA Composite standard. The device supports H265 (4Kp60), H.264 (1080p30) compression and OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 graphics.

A Raspberry Pi is still a microSD memory card. The operating system can be loaded using a computer with a scanner. Our store offers cards with NOOBs software installed, which you can choose from the following systems at first boot: Raspberry Pi OS, Openelec, RaspBMC, OSMC Linux.
Communication using Raspberry Pi 4
Malina has basic communication interfaces that can be found in PC-class office computers. In addition to the previously mentioned audio and video connections, the user can use:
- 2 microHDMI connectors, through which two monitors can be connected simultaneously.
2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports to which you can connect, for example, a mouse, keyboard, WiFi card or pendrik. If it turns out that there are not enough slots, you can increase their number using an external USB HUB.
