3D print festive 3D objects with a metallic surface. This 3D printing material is particularly suitable for your special 3D prints, where a nice metallic optic is important to you. The surface of every 3D print is a bit shiny and has a beautiful metallic glitter.
Polylactic acid (PLA) is a bio-degradable polymer that is produced from lactic acid, which can be fermented from crops such as corn. Now it has a special metallic look.
PLA is one of the most commonly used 3D print materials in the world. The material is non-toxic and has no unpleasant smell when you 3D print with it. Because of its thermal characteristics, it's easy to get great 3D prints.
The results are not far from amazing and the material is extremely strong with very good interlayer adhesion. This also opens a new world for the use of PLA. Until now PLA has been brittle and not very strong but with this new product, you can use it for applications that before you needed ABS for. Due to the very low shrinkage and the fact that you don´t need a heated bed (but we recommended it for best performance).
When 3D printing PLA, we recommend using a heated build plate, set to 40-60 °C. Best to use it together with an adhesive, like PrimaFIX.
Filament from Prima Creator comes on a transparent spool which makes it easy to see how much filament there are left on the spool.
