Another version of Multi Material Upgrade, an add-on for 3D printers developed by Prusa. The MMU3 kit is intended for the i3 MK3S+ printer. The extension allows you to use up to 5 materials in one print, without a lot of waste. It has an automatic switching function between loaded filaments. This is an original product from Prusa.
To remove the previously used filament from the nozzle, MMU3 uses a cleaning tower - a compact, partially empty block in which the nozzle is emptied of residual material. All the filament goes to one place, so you don't have to worry about pieces of plastic accumulating around the printer. Other ways to save filament and reduce waste are cleaning on the filling - the removed material is used as filling and cleaning on the model, where a separate print is formed from the filament remaining in the nozzle.
