The Mingda MD-1000D is a professional dual-extruder FDM 3D printer for fast multi-color, multi-material printing. Thanks to its efficient build volume and impressive print speed, the machine maximizes productivity for a wide range of industrial applications, complex prototyping, design iteration and training. In order to simplify and facilitate the production process as much as possible, the MD-1000D model has a solid metal structure with increased movement accuracy, automatic leveling, advanced algorithms for improving print quality and several printing modes. Thanks to its dual-extruder design, it can print the highest quality models of complex geometries and hollow structures using a water-soluble filament.

The series also includes the MD-400D model with the IDEX system and the twin-extruder MD-600D, representing solutions with essentially the same functions, but with a different amount of construction, reflected in the names.

For fast and smooth operation, Mingda has developed a proprietary high-performance 64-bit motherboard powered by a 6-core processor. This ensures fast data processing and quick completion of 3D printing tasks. With 32 GB of memory, you can quickly store, export and print large files.

To ensure a reliable and convenient experience, Mingda MD-1000D has many useful functions, such as built-in thread detector, smart printing resume function, flexible PEI development board, advanced dual cooling system, remote monitoring camera, Wi-Fi support, efficient air filtration, quiet operation and an open material system, so the choice of yarn is literally unlimited. In terms of software, the model supports Cura, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer and some other programs.

Print quality

Mingda MD-1000D can produce high quality detailed parts with smooth surface. Thanks to its dual-extruder design, the machine can print with easily removable and soluble support materials and can efficiently create complex patterns with overhangs, bridges and hollow structures.


The MD-1000D's direct drive dual extrusion system allows for flexible and precise yarn control.


With a flow rate of up to 40 mm³/s and a maximum print speed of 500 mm/s, the Mingda MD-1000D is 5 times faster than competing printers, significantly reducing production time. At up to 10000 mm/s², which means only 0.02 s from 0 to 300 mm/s, the machine can print large-scale models in a day.


For example, this car seat (800 x 800 x 1000 mm) was printed by Mingda MD-1000D with PLA-HF at 250 mm/s in just 3 days. Common large format FDM printers on the market with a print speed of 50mm/s would print the same model in 15 days.


Mingda MD-1000D is equipped with closed-loop stepper motors. Compared to traditional open-loop systems, it features powerful feedback capabilities, higher speed, higher accuracy, and lower heat generation. Made of a metal-enclosed chamber and modular guide structure, the printer not only maintains a constant printing temperature, but also ensures the stability of the structure and the accuracy of the printing process.


To eliminate dubbing and ringing problems, the device is designed with a self-developed vibration reduction function that automatically compensates for vibrations during high-speed printing. In addition, the flow control mechanism allows precise control of the amount of yarn, eliminating under- and over-extrusion. This improves print quality and accuracy with sharper details.


The MD-1000D has an automatic leveling system, which greatly improves printing efficiency and quality stability, and helps reduce malfunctions due to poorly leveled plate construction. Precise nozzle spacing calibration also allows the printer to create models with finer layer resolution.


In addition, the machine boasts a flexible PEI platform. Thanks to its impressive viscosity design, the plate provides strong adhesion, high temperature resistance and support for various consumables. In addition, it aims to prevent deformation of the model and easily remove the finished prints with a simple bend.

Materials

The Mingda MD-1000D features a dual-drive direct extruder that offers a unique ability to handle flexible filaments. In addition, the machine is designed to accommodate both high temperature and normal hot applications. The maximum temperature of the base hotend can reach 250 °C, supports popular materials such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, etc.


With an all-metal hotend and a hardened steel tip that can heat up to 350°C, the Mingda MD-1000D model can reliably print with a variety of engineering and composite filaments, including PET-Carbon Fiber, PET-Glass Fiber, Nylon Carbon Fiber, Nylon Glass Fiber and even more, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and surface quality of printed parts. When switching between different material types, the hotend does not need to be changed. In addition, the dual-extruder structure allows multi-color and multi-material printing with support filaments such as S-Multi, S-HtPA, PVA, etc.


In addition, the Mingda MD-1000D has a quick-heating aluminum alloy platform with a maximum temperature of 110 °C. Evenly heated and capable of reaching 60°C in approximately 75 seconds, it ensures strong first layer adhesion and overall print quality. The heating speed does not change at 220V and 110V.

The Mingda MD-1000D is designed with a 7-inch IPS high-definition computer screen with an intuitive and well-organized user interface, available in multiple languages. Unlike traditional LCD screens, it features bright, rich and natural high-quality images from any angle. In addition, it is more environmentally friendly and saves electricity.


The device supports SD, U-disk and Type-C connection. By connecting via Wi-Fi or network cable, Mingda MD-1000D can be controlled remotely and monitored in real time. At the same time, it supports multi-machine control, which greatly facilitates and accelerates mass production.


To ensure smooth and trouble-free operation, the machine performs a self-test when the power is turned on.
