The Adafruit module is equipped with a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter MCP4725. Its task is to convert a digital signal from any microcontroller equipped with an I2C communication interface, e.g. Arduino, into an analog signal. The module is supplied with a voltage of 3.3 V / 5 V. It also has an EEPROM memory. DAC converters are used, among others, to generate sound, operate musical instruments.
