Core Ink is a development module with an e-paper display with a resolution of 200 x 200 px and 1.54" diagonal. The device is equipped with 4 MB of flash memory. The module is responsible for the work of the ESP32-PICO-D4 microcontroller, thanks to which we can communicate with the device using WiFi and Bluetooth. The capabilities of the Core Ink module can be further expanded by means of e.g. Unit extensions connected to a single Grove socket. On the back and top of the device there are GPIO connectors allowing to connect the extensions using wires. The module can be powered via the USB C connector (also used for programming) or via the built-in Li-Pol 390 mAh battery. Inside the device there is also an RTC BM8563 clock.

Developer module with e-paper display

  • The use of this type of display makes the module extremely energy-efficient and the displayed image will not disappear even if the power supply is disconnected or the battery is discharged. The display should not be used for a long time in places with high sunshine, this can damage the screen. The device is also equipped with a status LED to keep you informed about the status of the device. The use of a very energy-saving display makes the module perfect as a terminal for IoT systems and smart home.
