Designed for the Raspberry Pi minicomputer, the sound card provides high-quality Full HD 24-bit / 192 kHz audio playback with built-in hardware volume control via the integrated Linux API (ALSA) that uses the Raspberry Pi I2S interface. The overlay features a high-quality Burr Brown 32-bit/384kHz converter (TI PCM5122). The board has two RCA connectors and a mini-jack connector. IQaduIO has acquired the Raspberry Pi Foundation to provide better support for users.

The Phono/RCA connectors have a mounting hole that ensures stability when mounting in a case and prevents accidental disconnection of the card by pressing the RCA connectors and bending the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.

The board has pins, so you can connect additional accessories to the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi. DAC+ uses GPIO22 as an amplifier mute.

IQaudIO works with many popular operating systems such as: Volumio, Raspbmc, RuneAudio, MDP, etc. This allows you to listen to internet radio, your music library or music services.
