High Power Infrared LED Emitter is a module manufactured by Adafruit equipped with a high power IR LED emitter. It also has a built-in N-Channel FET driver that allows you to emit an IR signal (from 100 mA to 200 mA of the current pulsing through each diode) over a distance of more than 10 meters. There are two IR LEDs on the top of the board, one pointing up and one pointing to the side. The manufacturer also left space for soldering an additional 5 mm IR LED. The High Power Infrared LED Emitter is controlled by a digital signal fed through the STEMMA JST PH 2mm connector.
