Due to its structure, the flap wheel with a 20x20x6 shank and 60 grit is perfect for machining, ensuring a delicate surface finish. With the same tool granulation, the surface roughness processed with a flap wheel is much lower than in the case of processing with a traditional endless belt.

Attention! Before turning on the machine, make sure that the preset speed does not exceed the maximum permissible speed of the flap disc.
If the flap wheel is used at the optimal speed, the flaps (lamellas) are arranged in a straight radial manner around the core due to centrifugal force, so that the wheel achieves optimal grinding performance. In such a case, the load and wear of the blades (lamellas) occur only on their edges. Thanks to this, new, sharp abrasive grain is still used for grinding. This guarantees a constant amount of material removed and a uniform pattern of the grinding surface from the first to the last processed item. If the speed is too low, the blades of the grinding wheel adhere too much to the surface being processed. The grinding wheel grinds with too large a surface, which creates more friction between the workpiece and the grinding wheel. This in turn leads to a higher thermal load on the workpiece and flap wheel. As a result, greater wear of the leaves (lamellas) occurs. Under certain conditions, the flap wheel may be damaged due to the loss of flaps.
