ASA filament in Green, produced by Rosa3D. During printing, it shows a limited degree of shrinkage, and the resulting fumes are less noticeable than when using traditional ABS. The main feature of ASA thermoplastic is high resistance to UV radiation, heat and moisture. It can be used in outdoor conditions exposed to changing weather conditions. The diameter of the filament is 1.75 mm. The weight of the material wound on spools is 0.70 kg.
Main features:
- ASA (acrylonitrile - styrene - acrylic) filament is a plastic with high resistance to UV radiation, moisture and heat. It can be used in variable weather conditions
- ASA has less shrinkage than the popular ABS. It also gives off less annoying fumes during printing
- The thermoplastic shows no signs of deformation up to a temperature of approx. 94 °C
- ASA material is often used in the automotive and marine industries. Components made from this thermoplastic include mirror and sensor housings, covers and radiator caps
- Adhesion of the first layer can be improved with a small amount of ASA dissolved in acetone
- For this material printing in a closed chamber is recommended
