The Leadshine CS-D1008E hybrid motor controller is a closed-loop servo-stepper drive designed to solve the step loss problem of open-loop stepper motor control systems. By using this solution, we increase the reliability of the system with a minimal increase in costs. The controller uses the advanced Leadshine control algorithm, which is based on decades of manufacturer's experience in stepper and servomechanism control. The CS-D1008E controller has been designed so that most operating parameters can be set without the need to connect to a computer.


The CS-D1008E driver can power 2-phase NEMA23, NEMA24 and NEMA34 stepper motors with incremental encoders. Compared to traditional open-loop stepping systems, the CS-D1008E's closed-loop stepping system eliminates lost steps by correcting position errors in real time. Thanks to this, the motor does not have to be significantly oversized, as is the case with traditional stepper motors operating without an encoder (a larger motor was a defense against losing steps, which unfortunately made the investment more expensive). Additionally, the controller controls the powered hybrid engine with reduced heating, lower noise level, and lower vibrations, which translates into the quality and smooth operation of the machine;

Application
The CS-D1008E closed-loop servo drive can be used in many applications. It is particularly suitable for low and medium speed applications such as CNC milling machines, CNC milling machines, CNC laser cutting machines, CNC plasma, laboratory automation instruments, plotters, electronics production equipment, packaging machines, etc.

Engine selection
The CS-D1008E controller is designed to power 2-phase NEMA 23/24/34 stepper motors with incremental encoders below 10,000 pulses/revolution. Thanks to easy tuning, the CS-D1008E controller can also work with hybrid motors (equipped with an encoder) from other manufacturers.
