The professional CSMIO/IP-S digital CNC controller is currently the most efficient and accurate controller from CS-LAB for applications requiring high precision and increased reliability. This is an offer for users. who approach the issue of CNC professionally. paying attention to the reasonable price for the product. CSMIO-IP-S is connected to the computer via an Ethernet link. which increases transmission speed and stability compared to the most popular LPT.

The biggest advantage of CSMIO-IP-S over its cheaper brother CSMIO-LPT is the use of an Ethernet port instead of LPT. which, in addition to increasing the transmission speed many times over, results in that the device is even more reliable. The device sends STEP/DIR control signals with a frequency of up to 4 Mhz. In addition. CSMIO-IP-S has many different digital and analog ports. with the possibility of further expansion by using expansion modules. And yes. The standard equipment includes 32 digital inputs. 16 digital outputs. 4 analog inputs. 2 analog outputs. RS-232 port. RS-485. CAN.

  • Work on the CSMIO-SCAN module - for operating the laser scanner - is also close to completion.

  • Convenient mounting on a DIN rail.
  • Successively developed software and the ability to update it yourself.

  • The controller consists of two boards (CPU-CSMIO-IP-S and IO-CSMIO-IP-S):

Both boards are built in an aluminum housing mounted on a DIN rail. The outputs and inputs are provided via DB25 connectors. Special adapter modules will be available from DB25 to terminal blocks for easy connection of cables. such a module will also be mounted on a DIN rail.

Why Ethernet. and not LPT or the popular USB?

Control via the Ethernet port has many advantages. here are the most important ones:

  • stable connection of the PC (MACH) with the controller, which is certainly missing in the case of USB control
  • the distance of the controller from the machine exceeds 5m, unlike in the case of USB or LPT
  • control up to 6-axis
  • generating STEP/DIR pulses with very high accuracy, repeatability and frequency
  • large number of fast input and output ports (digital, analog)
  • great possibilities of expansion with additional modules (I/O as well as specialized ones, e.g. JOG). which, in the case of writing scripts, allows you to connect additional devices such as extensive tool storages and others..
  • system fully adapted to work in an industrial standard (I/O in the 24V standard.
CONTROLLER INTERNAL SOFTWARE

The device is equipped with a proprietary real-time operating system (ProcSequencer). SOFTWARE UPDATES

All CS-LAB controllers have a loading program installed (so-called bootloader), so there is no risk of damaging the equipment in the event of an unsuccessful software update. The update is performed using an intuitive update wizard. does not require knowledge of the equipment itself. The latest software for our controllers is always available on our website.
