Professional tool length sensor with repeatability up to 0.01mm. The sensor structure is sealed and water-resistant. The cable is routed in a metal armor that protects it against the effects of liquids and mechanical impacts. The measuring plate is made of ground carbide and allows you to measure the tool length during the rotation of the cutting tool. The measuring plate can be pressed in by a maximum of 3mm and the force required to press is 3N
The tool length sensor is equipped with a nozzle for blowing through the tool and measuring plate before measurement. Thanks to this solution, there are no filings on the tool and the insert that could disturb the measurement and cause an incorrect reading.
Installation instructions:
1. The contact surface of the tool and the tool height sensor must be perpendicular and vertical. You can install the tool height sensor on the machining table in a place where there is the least amount of filings.
2. The diameter of the measured tool should not be greater than 10mm. The center of the tool should be in the center of the measuring plate.
3. The diameter of the air connection is 4mm. When measuring, make sure that the tool and the measuring plate do not have any baked-on and stuck filings that cannot be blown away by compressed air.
4. Do not exceed the permissible travel of the measuring plate (3mm). Exceeding this length may result in damage to the cutting tool or tool height sensor.
5. After measuring the length with the tool and tool settings, when the tool and the measuring plate are in contact, lift the tool vertically up. Moving the tool sideways will damage the tool and the tool height sensor.
