The HIWIN R20-05T7-FSCDIN ball screw with a length of 355 mm is an evolutionary solution in the field of precision drives. These screws are distinguished by a unique set of features, such as high efficiency, reversible operation, no axial play, high rigidity and precise pitch. Compared to traditional trapezoidal screws, these mechanisms additionally have balls placed between the screw and the nut, eliminating sliding friction in favor of the rolling motion of the balls.

The thread of the ball-and-roll mechanism is precisely made by rolling and then grinding the raceways. The gothic profile of the raceway grinding results in a significant reduction in friction, achieving an efficiency of the nut-thread system of 90%.
