Thanks to Arduino Due, the user can build systems using a microcontroller with a 32-bit Cortex M3 core from ARM, based on Arduino libraries. The board features an Atmel AT91SAM3X8E chip equipped with 54 digital I/Os, 12 of which can be used as PWM outputs and 12 as analog A/D converter inputs. The system operates on a clock signal with a frequency of 84 MHz. It also has the following interfaces: UART, SPI, TWI (I2C), USB, JTAG and digital to analog converter. The board has space for two microUSB connectors (one for programming, one for the user), a DC power jack, a RESET button, and a JTAG connector. All you need to get started with the Arduino module is a USB cable and software from the manufacturer's website.
