The system has a function of regulating the speed of the DC motor using an external potentiometer included in the set. Using the mounting potentiometer located on the board, we regulate the overload current, when exceeded, the system will turn off.

PP-U - protection electronic module, protects the electric actuator against current overloads occurring in the actuator control system.

Each actuator should be protected against overload. For this purpose, we can use a classic fuse or the PP_U module, which is an improved electronic form of the fuse. How does the PP-U module differ from a regular fuse?

We can treat the PP-U module as a kind of reusable fuse. It does not matter whether the actuator is equipped with end limit switches or not, because when it encounters an obstacle, the actuator will press against the obstacle. When the moving element becomes blocked/stuck (e.g. the gate leaf encounters an obstacle - snow in the winter), the current in the actuator motor may increase, which may result in its burning. It is also worth mentioning that if the motor withstands a momentary overload, one of the mechanical parts may be damaged, either the gate mounting or the gear of the linear actuator itself. Each of these failures will result in repair/servicing costs. It is also worth considering the costs associated with dismantling and reassembling the actuator.

Therefore, the PP-U electronic protection module is an indispensable element of every linear actuator control system.

A well-adjusted overload module will stop operation when an overload occurs, preventing excessive overload of the actuator. The system lock status will be indicated by a red diode. In this case, simply remove the obstruction and reset the power. In this case, the fuse should be replaced, but the PP-U module can continue to operate. The undoubted advantage is simple regulation, which involves adjusting the current sensitivity on a scale from 0.1 to 10A.
